| Your Child's Friend at the Dentist Office Bippo the Hippo was developed by Edward L. Donaldson, Jr. DDS. His book, Bippo Visits the Dentist, illustrated by Harriet N. Hastings, tells the fun-loving story of how a three-year-old boy learns that the dentist really can be a friend.  Copies of the book are available for reading in the office waiting room.
Bippo coloring pages and Bippo's play-cave are also available to keep our littlest
patients busy. Our murals of the happy hippo ensure that your child always has a
friendly face waiting for them at every visit. Occasionally, Bippo can even be found
roaming the office halls. Be sure to request your own copy of Bippo Visits the Dentist at your child's first office visit. Bippo balloons and a wide variety of stickers always await the sparkling smiles of our well-behaved patients.  Dental Health Presentations with Bippo! Bippo and Miss Karen visit schools and child care centers to teach youngsters ages 2-7 about how to keep healthy, strong teeth. Their 35-minute presentation includes a slide show and reading of Bippo Visits the Dentist, demonstrations of tooth brushing and flossing, discussion about healthy snacking and dental visits, and even a dance with Bippo.  Bippo teaches boys and girls "The Swim" in his dance finale.  Bippo demonstrates his perfect technique for brushing his "teeth, gums and tongue at least two times a day."
